We’re creating NYCSats for everyone who is enthusiastic about the space-tech industry in NYC. By building a diverse and cross-disciplinary community in the heart of Manhattan we aim to establish the roots of the next wave of space explorers. What kind of explorers? Well…

The commercialization of low earth orbit (LEO) is only beginning. On 14 October, 2012 Felix Baumgartner used a high altitude balloon to reach a hight of over 125,000ft and then proceeded to break the world record for skydiving. Felix’s amazing accomplishment would not have been possible without his sponsors who realized the attention-grabbing potential of space. On top of this, three days before Felix’s jump, SpaceX became the first private company to successfully resupply the International Space Station!
